Awarding the rating to Continental Insurance, Fitch mentions “The affirmation reflects the non-life insurer’s moderate business profile, satisfactory financial performance and capitalization in addition to its prudent investment mix”. In addition, CILL has received ISO 9001:2015 certification, for quality management system.

The founder, Deshamanya D.H.S. Jayawardena, a harbinger of change who prompted the rapid growth and stability in the industry. Mr. Jayawardena continues to contribute to this entity, as an entrepreneur, role model and adviser.
