Continental Insurance appoints one of its Founder Directors Chaminda De Silva as Managing Director with effect from February 2014. Chaminda De Silva since inception has significantly contributed towards the company’s growth and profitability, making Continental one of Sri Lanka’s fastest growing Insurance Companies. He will continue to steer the company in its vision to be technologically advanced, innovative and a customer friendly insurance service provider in South Asia, with the support and guidance of his mentor the Group Chairman, Deshamanya D.H.S . Jayawardena.

Mr. de Silva believes that employees’ productivity, attitude and skills are major deciders of achieving the company’s set plans and for any organization that is service driven employees should be considered as the most valuable asset. His personal leadership philosophy is to focus on the long term growth of the company by investing in training and skills development of employees.

Mr. de Silva is Qualified in Business and Management and is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Administrative Management in the United Kingdom. With an impressive track record as a previous Chief Operating Officer in the industry, he holds over a decade of hands-on experience in the insurance and hospitality industries, with extensive exposure to marketing , sales & strategy.
